I had a great session a few weeks ago with Brittany. She adapted and had a seamless flow to her techniques. Her voice was very calming, reminding me to breathe during instructions. My recovery is ahead of schedule and I credit that to my sessions.

I enjoyed Graceful Yoga as a slower paced class with reminders to breathe, which helps with my anxiety.

Sunday morning Graceful Yoga has been really helpful at giving me some energy back and relieving back pain, so I can enjoy time with my grandkids more.

I appreciate that Brittany offers modifications in classes, helps everyone feel welcome regardless of their flexibility or body size, and creates a calming environment.

As yoga instructors, we are asked to think about our "why". Why do you teach? Why does yoga benefit you personally as a student and as an instructor?
My "why" is that I have personally found peace and a quiet mind while practicing yoga. It is important for mental health therapists to have ways to decompress and offer ourselves self-care, so we can continue to give back to our community. After working with my clients for the day, yoga allows me to process and reset for the next day.
I also enjoy leading others in moments of stillness and peace. My passion and compassion comes through as I teach poses and read through guided meditation scripts for my clients. Seeing them find relief similar to my own from our shared practice is always rewarding. In a world with much grief, anger, isolation, and worry-I hope to continue to create connection and community, through moments of peace and strength that yoga has always offered me.
