Process of Therapy
Step 1
Scheduling an appointment
Give me a call, or send me an email. We will set aside 15-20 minutes for you to ask questions of me & my process, I will ask some questions about what brings you to therapy and what you want to accomplish, and schedule our first session!
Step 3
Therapy Process
Once I have gotten a chance to get to know you over some sessions and you have had a chance to talk with me a bit, then we talk about different therapy techniques that we can use, based on your goals for change and symptoms. My job is to be transparent about what we are working on and how it can help.
Step 2
Sessions
Therapy starts off wherever you'd like, but is slow process in the beginning, while we get to know one another and build your trust. The first few sessions I will take the time to ask about your life: family, work, friends, mental health symptoms, etc.
Step 4
Working with me as long as you want
Once we start working on skills and processing things, I want to hear feedback on how things are going and if you want to make any adjustments. We can continue our work together for 2 months, 2 years, or however long you feel that you need.
