
Private Yoga Sessions
So, you have thought about trying yoga but going to class with others who have been practicing awhile feels intimidating? Or maybe you have gone to some classes but you just don't feel prepared? Maybe you have gone to class and had the instructor pushed you or call you out? If this last one happened to you, please know that not all instructors are created equal. If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are in the right place!
What to expect
While working with me either on Zoom from the comfort of your home or in my therapy office in Amherst, NY, you can use the 60 minutes to work on helping your body find comfort in poses, work on stretch and fitness while protecting recently injured or long standing injuries, and/or learn more about yoga and how classes re formatted to be prepared for a class.
We will learn how to use different yoga props or how to turn household items like throw pillows into props to help yoga feel good for your body.

Hands-off environment-As a trauma-informed mental health therapist and yoga instructor, I will never place my hands on your body; rather offer hands-off suggestions that will guide you in the right direction.

Feel comfortable to try new poses, some of which don't come naturally to our body for a while, in a judgement free space.

Focus on what you specially need for your body today. How is this different than class? Often as teachers to keep things interesting from one class to the next, we will focus on a part of the body, building strength, or stability so some poses might feel nice but don't focus on your problem areas.

Less social anxiety-Get comfortable with poses before adding in the element of being social.

Practice from home! Even if the weather is bad, you need to have your baby in the pack n' play next to you, your car is in the shop, you live far from Buffalo NY; you can join me for yoga your living room!

Have options of when to have a session when traditional class times don't work for your schedule.
